
Adam Allgood
Adam Allgood is an attorney with Fisch Sigler LLP in Washington, D.C. He focuses his practice on complex commercial and intellectual property disputes. Mr. Allgood’s litigation experience extends from pre-litigation counseling through appeal, including case development, discovery management, motion practice, hearings, mediations and arbitrations, jury and bench trials, investigations before the International Trade Commission, appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and inter partes review proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Prior to joining Fisch Sigler, Mr. Allgood was an associate at large, international law firms, where he counseled clients on a broad range of intellectual property and litigation matters. He has represented clients in numerous sectors, including the wireless devices, oil and gas, display devices, software, biotechnology, electrical products manufacturing, and retail industries. He has counseled foreign and domestic clients on patent litigation issues arising in the U.S., E.U., Japan, China, Korea, Russia, and Brazil.
Mr. Allgood has also served as an Assistant Attorney General of the Law Enforcement Division of the Office of the Attorney General in Austin, Texas. As Assistant Attorney General, he defended law enforcement and medical agencies against First, Fourth, Eighth and Fourteenth Amendment claims. Mr. Allgood has tried numerous federal cases to successful jury verdicts, written multiple favorable appellate briefs, and argued before U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Mr. Allgood received his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a Comfort Law Scholar, and was awarded the Order of the Solicitor Award and the American Jurisprudence Award in Civil Pretrial Litigation. He was a member of the American Association for Justice Trial Team and the OU Law Dean’s Leadership Council. Mr. Allgood was also the Technology Chairman of the OU Law Student Bar Association, Editor-in-Chief of The Restatement, and a legal intern for former Oklahoma State Senator James F. Howell. While in law school, he maintained full-time employment as a software engineer and consultant, focusing on document management and medical billing systems.
Mr. Allgood is admitted to practice in Texas and California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western, Northern, and Southern Districts of Texas; the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California; and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His application for admission in the District of Columbia is currently pending.
