
George Pappas
George Pappas has served as lead counsel in hundreds of patent cases for U.S. and foreign companies, often coordinating with patent counsel in Germany, Japan, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Pappas is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and served as Chairman of its Complex Litigation Committee (2009-2011). Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only, and membership cannot exceed 1% of the total lawyer population of any state or province.

Mr. Pappas was Chairman of the Editorial Committee and a co-author of the Complex Litigation Committee’s book, Anatomy of a Patent Case (2009; 2012 2nd ed.; 2016 3rd ed.), which is published in conjunction with the Federal Judicial Center and was distributed to all judges of the federal judicial branch.
At the invitation of the FJC, Mr. Pappas has presented over 50 programs on patent law issues at FJC National Workshops for federal district and magistrate judges. In 2016, he was a contributing author to the Patent Case Management Judicial Guide (2016; 3rd ed.)
In 2001, he was appointed by Chief Justice Rehnquist of the U.S. Supreme Court to serve as a member of the District Judge Education Advisory Committee for the Federal Judicial Center (FJC), and reappointed by Chief Justice Rehnquist in 2004. He served through 2007.
He has served as a Member of the District of New Jersey Local Patent Rules Committee since its founding in 2007.
